We can’t decide whether we would enjoy or hate waking up 90 years too early while on a long space journey and having only one other person there with us. We are space fanatics, so we feel like that would be one hell of an experience. But then again, we would never reach the final destination, and that would be a bummer.

The Martian Movie Description

Mark Watney’s (Matt Damon) team has left him behind on the red dusty planet Mars. After a deadly dust storm rips the team’s camp apart and a piece of debris hits Mark, making him fly away, the team captain presumes that Mark has died. The team quickly evacuates the planet, not knowing that Mark is, in fact, alive. Soon after, Mark wakes up low on oxygen and with little to no supplies. Now, Mark has to find a way to let people back on Earth know that he is still alive while also managing to survive on a planet with no available living resources.

However, the crew will soon find out that David is not the only other living being on this planet. What was first thought to be a beautiful planet, quickly turns into a gruesome and terrifying place to be.

For William Cage (Tom Cruise), the war against aliens on Earth never seems to end. He came into this war completely unprepared and has never seen action in his career. As expected, William dies nearly as soon as he deploys. However, this soldier’s story isn’t over. After his death, William wakes up at the beginning of that very same day. After experiencing this a few times, William realizes that every time he dies, he restarts at the beginning of the day. Every time he relives the day, his combat skills become even sharper than before. Eventually, he comes to believe that the aliens are beatable. However, he must team up with Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt) for any chance of beating the aliens. The only problem is, he has to convince her that they have met multiple times before.
