Shrek Movies In Order Of Release Date

Let’s be real for a second. The Shrek movies truly changed the world in a wonderful way. They are some of the best films out there. Well, at least the first two anyways just because the 3rd and 4th were received with mixed feelings. Regardless of that, you can literally watch Shrek a million times and still want to watch it again! You simply can’t get enough of the ugly, stinky, big green Ogre and his hilariously quirky talking donkey friend! Everybody loves the Shrek movies but not everybody knows the order of the timeline in which our buddy Shrek’s life unfolds.

That’s where we come in. We are here to answer any and all questions regarding how to watch the Shrek movies in order. We have gone ahead and listed all the Shrek films in both release date order and in chronological order! There is supposedly a new Shrek movie in the works which means we are very excited but we’ll also update this list when that comes out! Now, just keep on scrolling to see exactly what order you should be watching all the Shrek movies in!

5. Shrek 5 (2022)

Shrek 5 Movie Description

So apparently we’ll be getting a Shrek 5! Word on the street is that it’ll actually be a reboot. Now that can be scary to hear at times but if done right this can be incredible for the Shrek franchise. We do know that the studio does want to use the original voice actors which would be incredible and please everyone very deeply. Now what we hope is that they reboot it back to sometime during the second movie and keep the original base story from the first Shrek the same. Now, this is all speculation and wishes and we won’t know for sure until the trailer and movie are released. So until then, we’ll just have to be patient!
