After years of avoiding it, Adelaide Wilson returns to her beachfront home with her husband and kids. Due to a horrible and traumatizing experience she had as a child there, Adelaide continues to worry about staying at the home. Her worst fear comes true when four masked intruders break into the home. When they unmask themselves they reveal that they are the families doppelgängers. Each one of them is trying to kill the other version of themselves. Now, the family must run for their lives hoping they can outsmart their killer twins.

2. Midsommar

The movie that has everyone who has watched it thinking “What the f*ck did I just watch!” This movie just makes you want to crawl out of your skin with how weird and unsettling it makes you feel watching it. It’s one of the few movies that has truly made us extremely uncomfortable. However, that’s what makes it so great.

A couple makes a trip to Sweden to visit and take part in a midsommar festival in one of their friend’s secluded hometown. What was supposed to be a fun-filled vacation from life, quickly turns into something much more sinister. The retreat continuously grows more violent and the couple now finds themselves stuck in a crazy competition in the midst of a pagan cult.

3. Split

James McAvoy did one hell of a job playing a multitude of different unique personalities in this film and really selling this character. We can’t imagine what it would be like to have over twenty personalities living inside of you. It’s simply insane!

 Kevin (James McAvoy) has let his psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley) meet his 23 different personalities. However, according to Kevin, one has yet to come out. This personality is said to dominate above all the others and is incredibly dangerous. Kevin believes that this personality will make an appearance soon and he must prepare to welcome it. To do so, he kidnaps 3 teenage girls as an offering to The Beast. During this preparation though, Kevin begins to lose himself among all his personalities and must fight to stay in the spotlight not allowing the others to take over.

4. Hereditary

This is from the same director as Midsommar and this movie gives you the same uneasy feeling as Midsommar. Granted not as strong but it’s definitely still there. Give this one a watch it will definitely creep you out.

The grandmother of the Graham family has recently passed away leaving the daughter and her grandchildren with some sinister secrets. As time goes by, the family begins to unravel disturbing things about their family’s past. Though they try to run away from these discoveries their fates may already be set in stone.

5. The Invitation

This is why you never reconnect with someone who randomly disappeared especially if they show up later with someone weird. As movies show, time and time again, it’s not worth the horrifying things you’ll go through!

Once a loving couple, Will (Logan Marshall-Green) and Eden (Tammy Blanchard) separated after Eden disappeared due to the death of their son. However, two years later Eden returns out of nowhere with a husband. Eden has completely changed as a person compared to who she was when she left Will and everyone else behind. Will accepts the invite to a dinner party being held at their old house by Eden and her husband. Not long into the party Will begins to sense something is wrong. With more and more things coming to light, Will believes that Eden and her new husband have something very sinister planned for their guests.

6. Don’t Breathe

Ending our list of movies like Get Out, this one will have you squeamish by the end of it with some of the extremely disturbing twists and turns it has. The one life lesson that comes with this movie is don’t break into someone’s home!

Don’t Breathe Movie Description

Three teens, Rocky (Jane Levy), Alex (Dylan Minnette) and Money (Daniel Zovatto), spend their days breaking into places and stealing. Everything usually goes smoothly and they have no problems. However, as they’ll soon find out, their luck has run out. Money tells the group about an old blind veteran (Stephen Lang) who apparently has a bunch of cash in the house. They believe this will be an easy job with a big payoff so they plan it out and want to do it as soon as possible.

When the day comes, the four teens break into the man’s house. Not long into the job, they realize that the old man has trapped them in the house and knows they are there. With no way out the man starts hunting down the teens attempting to kill them. As they fight for their lives, they come across some incredibly disturbing and sinister secrets about this man’s life.
