So, where exactly did producers decide to film Rogue One? Well, we’ll start with some of the more general locations. Producers decided to do a majority of the filming in England, Iceland, the Maldives, and Jordan.

Locations Used In England
Producers chose Canary Wharf Station, London, England, UK as the setting for an Imperial base in the movie.
For some of the scenes of planet Scarif, producers used Bovingdon Airfield, Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, England, UK.
Film-makers used Cardington Airship Hangars, Bedfordshire, England, UK for the Yavin 4 rebel base.
Locations Used In Iceland
Okay, so starting in Iceland, producers decided to use the stunning black sand beaches and massive basalt stacks of Reynisfjarablack, Iceland to depict the incredibly rugged and rainy planet Eadu.
Another location producers used for the planet Eadu is Krafla, Iceland. Krafla is a 10km wide caldera and one of the country’s most active volcanos.
Locations Used In Maldives
Producers used the beautiful tropical paradise of Gan, Maldives to film some of the best action scenes in this movie. You may notice it as the location used for the epic battle scenes where the Rebel Alliance launches a surprise attack against a critical Imperial military base. Producers used Gan for the final battle of the heavily defended planet of Scarif.
Locations Used In Jordan
For the dry and dusty planet of Jedha producers decided to use Wadi Rum, Jordan. Other than this, producers didn’t use many locations in Jordan for the filming of this movie.
