The Sandlot Filming Locations

The Sandlot producers decided to film the now super well known, classic in Ogden, Midvale, and Salt Lake City. These cities reside in the beautiful state of Utah. Those weren’t the only locations though! The opening scene and closing scene both took place in Dodgers Stadium down in LA!

Locations Used In Salt Lake City, Utah

Salt Lake City was host to many of the different locations used during the production of this movie. For the carnival, the producers decided to film those scenes down in Liberty Park! Oh, and if you are wondering where that iconic empty sandlot field presides, you can actually still see it! If you were to go to 1388 Glenrose Drive, you could see the field that Smalls played on! That’s crazy!

The city celebrated the film’s 20th anniversary by building an exact replica of the field on the empty lot! One of the last memorable locations used in the movie was the Rose Park Field at Riverside Park in Salt Lake City. This is where the sandlot kids had their grudge match against the bullies!

Locations Used In Ogden, Utah

Now, if you are wonder where the pool scenes took place, they used the Lorin Farr Community Pool down in Ogden! The pool is also still open to the public! So, if you want to go down to Ogden, Utah to take a dip in the same pool as the Sandlot kids, you can!

Location Used In Midvale, Utah

Now, who remembers the name of that drug store that made multiple appearances in the movie!? If you guessed Vincent Drug, then you are right! However, and we hate to be the bearers of bad news, Vincent Drug did shut down. When the store was up and running, it was located at 7696 North Main Street.
