Their plans, however, are derailed by Jen Yu (Zhang Ziyi), a cocky and rebellious daughter of a high-ranking official who has been taught the Wudan arts by Jade Fox(Pei). The film also portrays a love story between Jen Yu and a desert bandit named Lo (Chen Chang).

Soon, he is abducted by a group of martial artists, including Harrigan (Frank Grillo), Kueng (Tony Jaa), and Carmen (JuJu Chan) who seem to remember him. Wylie (Nicolas Cage), another hermit, tells him what’s happening: Every six years, a comet passes over, opening a portal, and from it emerges an alien being.

Nine warriors must be defeated or else this alien will destroy the world. Jake needs to get his head back into the game if he’s going to save the world.
