It is every child’s dream to find a doorway that leads to an extraordinary and magical place. Just imagine walking through your closet and arriving in a place like Narnia. This is why Narnia resonated so well with its audience because at some point everyone has dreamt or thought of discovering a magical land.

If you are here you may be wondering in what order these incredible movies should be watched! If that’s the case then you have come to the right place. We have gone ahead and put all the Narnia movies in order of their release date and also in chronological order.

Four English siblings named Lucy (Georgie Henley), Peter (William Moseley), Edmund (Skandar Keynes), and Susan (Anna Popplewell) have been sent to a safe country house during WWII bombings of London. In the house, Lucy one day finds a wardrobe which takes her to a mystical world known as Narnia.

When she returns home, she is quick to show her siblings the hidden passage and they all enter the magical world. While there, they join forces with a magical lion named Aslan (Liam Neeson) and help him in the fight against the evil witch Jadis (Tilda Swinton) who wants to bring chaos to Narnia.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Movie Description

A year after their first adventures in Narnia, the siblings have decided to return. However, as they quickly learn, time passes differently in the magical land. Though it had only been one year in their world, it had been 1300 years in Narnia.

War and chaos have taken over the lands of Narnia once again. The siblings join forces with Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) to fight and help overthrow the malevolent King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto) who has brought nothing but destruction to the magical land.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Movie Description

During a visit of their annoying cousin Eustace (Will Poulter),  Lucy (Georgie Henley) and Edmund Pevensie (Skandar Keynes) discover a painting of an astonishing ship that was once called the Dawn Treader. Without warning, the painting comes to life and pulls in the siblings, returning them to the magical lands of Narnia. While there, they run into their old friend King Caspian (Ben Barnes).

Caspian is currently on a dangerous quest to find the lost Lords of Telmar. He must find them as their swords are the only things powerful enough to stop an evil green mist that has begun to consume Narnia and take over the minds and bodies of its inhabitants.

Narnia Movies In Chronological Order

Now that we’ve gone through the Narnia movies in release date order we’ll list them in chronological order. This also happens to be in the same order. You also find the unreleased Narnia movies on this list. Production was cut due to a change in leadership at the studio. They were demanding changes to the script which  Douglas

Gresham (stepson of C.S. Lewis) wasn’t fond of and walked away. That is why we don’t have a fourth installment of the series. Now, that doesn’t mean we can’t hold out hope that one day there will be a fourth movie!
